If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness.

Those who approach the sacrament of Penance obtain pardon from God's mercy for the offense committed against him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church which they have wounded by their sins and which by charity, by example, and by prayer labors for their conversion

Celebration

Celebration of First Reconciliation -December 10 or 17, 2011

 

Policy

A child must have completed catechesis (Religious Instruction, either through Catholic school or Parish Religious Education) the year prior to celebrating the sacrament, and the year of celebration.  Children are encouraged to celebrate the sacrament at their parish of membership if a sacramental preparation program is offered.
