Coffee and Donuts Ministry

This opportunity for Fellowship and Community Building takes place the second Sunday of the month in the Gathering Area.  Parishioners are encouraged to come and meet each other over a cup of coffee and a donut.  Volunteers are needed before and after the Mass to set up, mingle, and clean up.

Shrine Upkeep

This group of parishioners makes sure that Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine is presentable and maintained.  Help is needed for spring planting, summer weeding, and fall cleanup.

Prepare Mailings

Members of the parish who are available during the day are invited to come in and help prepare special mailings and the Village Observer newsletter.  Coordinator is Sandy Maxim, 724-3129.

 

Church Duties

Regular watering of plants and flowers, cleaning the church at special times, and calling gift bearers are activities where volunteers are needed.

Adopt-A-Bed

If you have a green thumb, or if you just want the parish grounds to be attractive, you may want to consider volunteering to take special care of a section.  This is a great family project and consists of keeping an area weed and trash free.  A coordinator is also needed.

Spring Clean-up

In the spring, parishioners get together to clean up the grounds of the parish.  Dates are announced in the bulletin and by flyer to the school and Religious Education classes.  We also rake the yards of parishioners who are elderly, ill or homebound.

Festival

Coordinators are needed for various areas including the Sunday dinner, games tent, refreshment center, food court, Bingo, finance, set up and clean up, and Vegas games, as well as many volunteers to work the event.

SCRIP

The SJV Scrip Program allows family members to purchase scrip (gift cards/certificates)  for everyday expenses such as food, clothing, gas while earning a percentage of each dollar of scrip purchased back in revenue (tuition credit).  It’s that easy!

Second Best Sale   

This fundraiser is held over three days, normally during Spring Break.  Many volunteers are needed to sort and mark donations the first day, help with the sale on the second day, and pack up what is left on the afternoon of the last day.  A coordinator is also needed.

Auction! Committee

Auction! is an exciting night of fun, prizes, and silent and oral auctions.  Proceeds support the technology needs of the school and parish and the Tuition Assistance Fund.

Lenten Fish Fry

A major fundraiser of the Athletic Boosters, these dinners are held on the Fridays of Lent.  Many volunteers are needed for prep work, kitchen, serving and clean up.
